Alan C. Pan, DDS announces new CEREC 4.0 coming this March 2012!
For patients seeking dental treatment at Dr. Alan C. Pan’s dental office in Roseville, the possibilities are truly endless. To help patients achieve their desired smile, Dr. Pan’s team has committed themselves to providing patients quicker restorations without sacrificing quality. In March, their state-of-the-art CEREC machine will be up and running.
The new CEREC allows Dr. Pan and his team to eliminate the need for rubber impressions, 
gagging trays, temporaries, and the need for week long waits to complete their dental restorations. “It’s important to us that our patients come into our dental office knowing exactly what to expect from their procedure. Patients will be able to view their own restoration being created right in front of them. The CEREC crowns can be completed in a single visit, custom shaded to match the patient’s natural teeth shade,” said Dr. Alan Pan, Roseville dentist.
CEREC, or ceramic reconstruction, first starts out with an infrared photo of the patients tooth. This image is then used to design the dental crown with 3D imaging. From there, the information is sent to the milling machine.
A block of CEREC porcelain is then put into the milling machine to shape the crown. Once complete, Dr. Pan permanently places the crown with dental cement. Patients have a new, natural-looking crown made in about an hour with no impressions, temporary crowns, and less dental anesthesia.

About Dr. Alan C. Pan: Dr. Pan received his D.D.S. degree from the Taipei Medical University School of Dentistry in 1989. Following graduation, Dr. Pan completed his pediatric residency in 1992. The degree of Ph D was awarded to Dr. Pan by the Kyushu Dental College upon completion of his orthodontic residency and concurrent study in Oral Physiology. Dr. Pan is a professional who combines his love of technical precision with the joy of delivering a more compassionate style of dentistry.
